at the mixer output of my soundcard it s around -50 db and it s loud! strange no?then it goes to my converter via spdif coax pro and then to the monitors via the + 4dbu switch on the converter,is there something wrong?maybe there is not enought signal to drive the amp ?

Depends on how and what you have connected really.
What output level is your source?
I assume that the speakers is +4dBu?

Ideally your DA's should be working near full output level and you should have an analogue volume control before going in to the amp.
The amp should not be turned down too low and be turned up at least about half way up.

If you tend to have to keep your volume control at very low levels at your normal working level turning down the sensitivity would be good, and if you have to crank your volume control and have the amp at full then up the sensitivity.

EDIT: Ok...so the sensitivity is +4dBu on both your source and amp.
You should not have -50dB when hitting the DA.
Is there an analogue volume control on the DA?
What is the issue...don't you get enough volume even if you have everything cranked up...or is it too loud?          (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

there is no volume output control on the da and it s too loud, if i put the volume ouptut at 0 by mistake it ll blow my ears.

can the sound of the monitors improve depending of the input signal strenght? or the input sensitivty switch on them?

You should get for example a small mixer to control the output in the analogue domain.

As you have things connected now it would give better results if you reduce the input sensitivity since the DA can work a higher resolution.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

It depends on your needs a bit I guess, but A&H and Spirit would be my choices when it comes to small budget desks. A bit less sterile than the Mackies.
Spirits is not always the best build quality, but ok value I guess.

I just have a little cheap Tapco myself since I don't really use it for more than a volume control and only occasionally as a mic pre.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)
