Release Notes
Out from Out Where follows Supermodified. Amon Tobin weighs in with yet
another awesome release, proving yet again what a unique soundmaker he
is. Sonically, there's just as much murderous intent as before, clear
from the track, "Verbal". Tobin has certainly tried to place less
emphasis on the trappings of jazz on this record. It's far harder-edged,
darker and moodier than ever. Warped drum and bass overtones join the
fray of this sonic genius.
Do yourselves a favor, light up a spliff for this one.

one of the greatest artists in the world!the new album is maybe his greatest work ever, but the previous on e, "Supermodified" comes close...he used to work under the name Cujo before he started with his own name, find those too if youre into his stuff.
another artist to look for if you like Amon is called Bonobo, they are good friends and Bonobo makes stuff that is very much similar to Tobin, just a bit more relaxed.he will release a new album just about now. |

I'm listening now to Supermodified.
Very interesting and psychedelic in a way.
Sounds but like DJ Shadow and 2 Lone Swordsmen.

Very nice album indeed. The mix between wierd and at some point quite hard electronica with soft sound from india love movies!
A must listen for all of you that like the experimental side of the downbeat!

he is the best indeed .
a great brazzilian drummer that samples most of his own playing.
but his latest album is not his best work imo.
His second album,PERMUTATIONS,is his biggest masterpiece.
the atmosphere in that album, mostly of a 30's gangster film on acid,is amazing.
and his debut album,BRICOLAGE isn't bad either......
His album as Cujo,ADVENTURES IN FOAM, was Re-Released last year by ninja tune with a bonus CD.
it's more in the Drum & Bass Style and isn't as good as the Tobin stuff, but still worthwhile.
