well im in LA for a week know and i found no sign of trancec what so ever.
the americans call house music trance. so when iasked someone about trance party's he told theres a lot of them.
i went to one on friday night night and found it was a house/club trance party.
so be advised if u are in the states and ur looking for a party u have to say PSYTRANCE so people would understand.
hope it will be better and they will open to this kinnda music cause if not ill die out of boredem.

From one Jonathan to another, take it easy, and keep in mind that you are not going to have 5 or 6 parties to choose from every weekend like you are used too.
You are actually very lucky to be in Los Angeles. There are parties there like every 2 or 3 weeks. In the mean time, go check out some Ambient/Chillout clubs, give the drum and bass scene a chance also. You might be suprised.
There are a couple of people on this forum from LA Jeto, Snowhite, and more). Get in touch with them and try to find other Israelis, there are thousands of them over there.
Enjoy the fantastic weather (it is still snowing here in Chicago) and the beautiful women. My favorite place in LA is Ventura blvd (ventura and Van Nuys)
Just chill and wait for something good to happen. Keep your eyes open for events by fivestar, they are the big guys down there. Try to get Thump Radio in your car our house.
You are much better off then most of us. Hey, I have to drive 8 hours all the way to Toronto just for a decent party this weekend (digital structures/iboga). But I'm not complaining. There should be a cool party with Serge from Total Eclipse on 4/20. Keep in mind that acid is scarce now, so try to get hooked up before the party. Oh yeah, enjoy the Chronic, my favorite part of California! 8) |

As the second jonathan said , there is a party at least once a month, eventhough the parties are not outdoor parties, they are still better than nothing and most of them are good.
You can also check out the party section, you will always find some information about something that going on in L.A. |

Thanks to Five Star and Heavy Rotation you'll have a good party about once a month..support them as much as you can since they are pretty much it when it comes to good psytrance parties and they are good people who love the music as much as you do!!! Also visit Green Sector in Tarzana for good cd selection and party flyers

Well jonathan, there is a TIP label party coming up in LA, so dont miss it. Plus there should of been a diffrent party this weekend too. the LA psytrance scene is still sort of underground so it is hard to find. But i am sure you will find a flyer somewhere. Contact somebody from this forum, Purple passion, Jeto, somebody can help you. they are all nice people. Hope you find the parties over there. LA is the best place to relax, get away from all the stress! GOOD LUCK! |

ive been in LA before, it's an ok place, but its not the place for trance, i mean theres some artists and djs that stop by, but not many, they all seem to really like San Fransisco, also the scene in Arizona is nuts, if you find the right people, they'll take you out to secret parties in the deserts, and all of them are crazy, and its a promise that you wont hear Van Dyk, or Darude. Also NYC is pretty built up with a psy-scene, there are clubs strictly for psy, theres a club that has goa-night, i went once, it was cool. Philadelphia is still being built up, but its pretty strong, if you're ever out here, tell me, and ill be sure to take you to some crazy psy-parties.
Although dont get the impression that psy is rollin over here, whenever i play Holymen-C4 and after play Xerox, Space cat or something, people tend to choose Holymen..although whenever anyone hears Infected Mushroom and Skazi, they seem to be into them...but they'll not like anything else...people :)
well, good luck with finding parties, im sorry you got off on the wrong foot.

i heard bout the fivestar party's and ill sure check 'em out as sooner ans better.
jonathan ---> i have already tried chronic and dude (puff...) this is some good shit :)
i heard bout the 4/20 party but i already got tickets to some 30,000 people rave in the desert.

I heard there is going to be a very nice party in San Francisco tomorrow (04/12). Talamasca is suposed to play live there... and if you like psytrance i'm sure you will not miss Talamasca playing live... |
