Now, this is a more tricky question.
Best motherboard for slot 939 AMD with AGP.
Its hard to find a good chipset with that setup.
Let me know if you got a good motherboard out there.
Thanks.

You should decide whether you go for S939 or AM2. 2 different systems AFAIK. S939 is older one and should become obsolete within a year or so. AM2 is the newer 940Pin socket. There's no reason really to go for S939. AFAIK...

You mean socket 939? Coz AMD will cease the production of socket 939 processors in 2007. AM2 is your option. Anyway, if you already have a s939 AMD proc and you need AGP as well then you should try Gigabyte motherboards (GA-K8NSC) with nVidia nForce 3 chipset. With even numbers of (totally) identical RAM modules you will have a nice dual channel setup with those boards (20-25% faster memory access), up to 4 GB of RAM.

Yes, I do have already an 4800+dual core 939.Im not very pleased with the mainboard I got,its not bad at all, but I want something better, my chipset is ULI1689.
I will probably change the mainboard to a Gigabyte, since I got a nice AGP 512 MB Geforce 7600 GS.
Thanks for the replys.
