I know I"ll probably get moved and scleded fo rposting thi shere, but I wanted to ask the pro's out there for some tips... I was saving up for my decks thisyear and decded that I'd much prefer to get into production... I'm always making my own ambient tunes up in m mind, and I often hre a track and think about what I'd have added instead... basically I have little, or no, musical background or understanding of of how to set up to start learning... a mate sold me his copy of cubase SX bu the didn't have the manual or box, so "m busting my balls triyn got wrap my head around it, and I also would love some tips on a synth to get... my budget ain't that great, so I've been eyeing off either themicrokorg or a Novation KS4... jsut wanted some itps on what to think og getting and whether it;d be worth my while to tak music lessons, like basic iano or something...

Im seeing your thread dissapearing from this section of the forum man heheheheh..... Its a matter of time.
As u might not have seen there is a section especially for production. I believe that most of your questions are already been answered in the... SO a little bit of 'search' would be a good idea...

but the place to ask about it is in the music making section... cheers

1st you can download cubase manual on the web at steinberg website, if you can't find it pm me and i will send it to you.
if you're into electronic music creation then i'm suggesting you to invest your money in a good sound card and good pair of studio monitors instead of a synthesizers or other hardware etc.
when i started making music i bought too much equipment which are not so needed today.
Anyway, use the search to find a good sound card and monitors suggestions from the users- this is a famous threads,
Then invest in a good acoustic room,
