Hi would like to create a nice atmosphere to my drums, right know they sound quite dead
and steril. How can this be achieve?
When recording real drums, mics capture up some nice atmosphere with overhead mics etc
I would like to create a similar sound and would be thankful for any advice.

Reverb is what you need in the first place.           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

If you're working with more traditional-style drums samples like tablas etc. a combination of reverb (like Medea said), low pass filter and panorama can give you a nice far-away effect.
