April 27th and 28th 2007, Tech Safari are celebrating the grooves and rhythms spring with two psychotropic Amazone nights! Friday night, get ready for the return of the psychedelic trance ritual Amazone at the Plaza Theatre with none other than Shane Gobi from South Africa! Saturday, come decompress at the Brasserie Belle Gueule with Adham Shaikh. This Amazone weekend celebrates the return of these two acclaimed artists of Eclipse 2005 and 2006!

Adham Shaikh Biography:
Adham Shaikh is a composer, producer and sound designer currently living near Nelson, BC. He has been producing music for the past 18 years and has released 4 solo albums, 2 collaborative full-length albums and numerous individual compositions over the course of his career. As a performer, Adham has played across Canada and internationally at festivals, film events and clubs - both solo and together with a wide variety of accompanying world musicians. Operating from his Sonicturtle Music Studio, he is currently at work on a number of multimedia projects while actively recording and composing his next albums.

A fusion of sounds from around the world A blend of styles and traditions, From .Electro, Breaks,Dub, Psychedelic Trance , Downtempo, Funk ,Bhangra , Latin+Brazilian, Afrobeat. to the original compositions Adham blends and remixes into his sets. Transmitting tribal grooves from ancient tradition
Over the years Shaikh has had the pleasure to work and record with many talented musicians playing instruments from India, Bali, Africa, Slovakia, Scandinavia, Turkey, America and Canada.
Shaikh weaves soundscapes carried by the tribal dub groove. His renowned sets bridge the gap between organic and electronic. Inner and outer space. He has been heard live at festivals and gatherings in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Saltspring Island, Nelson (Canada) and Internationally at Glastonbury UK, London UK. Samothraki (Greece)and Tokyo (Japan).
