Gilad this is one of the coolest fests in the uk! much electronic bands/groups and artists.. really nice atmosphere there mucho drugs and high spirits. its like a woodstock for electronica every year. i have a chemical brothers cd from there in 1997 and the background noises from the crowd are incredible!

Glastonbury is not really an "electronica" (sorry always hated that US record company term!!) festival as such - it just a massive festival with something for everyone - so there is dance music as well as pop, rock, jazz, global stuff, theatre, comedy, circus and loads and loads of other stuff. Its just like a city for a week with lots of differnt fields with different stuff going on...
Due to local pressure - they've been forced to keep it ticket only last year and this - and the 100 000 (yes - one hundered thousand!) tickest sold out in a day. In years gone by they easily had twice that number as so many got in for free (about half just jumped over the fence) and the organsier didn't mind too much.
Its getting bit tamer now - but still probably the best festival you'll ever go to (apart from the weather..!!) |

Hehe...yeah...we all no place on earth sucks worse than the UK for weather....not even lousy Holland is that bad...anyway....can't wait to get my ass over to Glastonbury one day though.....wanna see all the magic spots...hoping to catch Hawkwind play again some day after twice in Holland now.....!!!....but can't be anything matchin' with seein' 'em in a killerfestie like this one.... what a friggin' lightshow these guys got...I saw 'em in '95 and still till today there's been hardly any house/trance or what kinda party that matches the psychedelic show these guys give....  ........and they always play Glastonbury that actually made many of England's bands and dj's to what they are nowadays for big part....I hope this ain't gonna vanish also....so all out there, give it ur support and get ur ass and all the rest  over there this year....it seems to be one of the most amazing, magic and mysterious places to spend ur midsummernight !!!!!!!!!
