I recently played on this synth at a music show in the UK. It's called CAMELEON 5000 by Camel Audio (the same guy wrote the excellent CamelPhat Compressor/Distortion plug in).
It's an additive morphing synth, capable of importing any sound file, full midi control, 128 band noise generator, 64 detunable partials, fx, 128 band formant filter!!!!
Just got my copy today, being able to sweep between a guitar-sync lead-flute & male voice (or any 4 patches/wavs) is unbelieveable=]

Yeah, i've read about this in KVR. If I am correct you import a wav file and what it does is reproduce the same sound with oscilators. Sounds like a good idea. |

Close, but additive doesnt use oscillators.
it creates a sound by building from individual sine waves (technically labelled 'harmonics' and 'partials').
if this thing works like how it sounds, its basically analysis-synthesis : ie, it first analyses the sound to see where the important harmonics lie, and with what relative amplitudes, then recreates that.
