Hi. Ive been using Waves vst plugins ever since i started making music with software. Even though i think they are allright, im getting a bit tired of its sound, if find em "sterile" (hope i am clear with this). Im looking for other dynamics processor plugs ( compressors , limiters , eq and reverbs. Do u guys have some recommendation on some quality dynamics and eq plugins ( for now im liking the PSP Vintage Warmer (any good for psy????) and Master Comp. Are there any native plugins that can compare with TC powerocore or UAD stuff, or should i get one of those instead of a more powerfull CPU??
Hope i made some senseee..

I was like you piXan, until a month ago, when i bought a UAD-1e card....After that i have seen the LIGHT!!!
A friend told me once that the biggest mistake we make is that we believe we live, when in reality we are sleeping in the waiting room of life. |

I know nothing about UAD cards. Do you get plugins that come with them or do you have to buy software to use on them? What you using Alex and how much are they?
Anyway, alternatives to Waves. Voxengo (good value!) and Sonalksis. I know a guy that codes for Sonalksis and he assures me they are some of the best. He wasn't trying to sell them either as he gave me a free licence, I trust his word, so I'm passing his recommendation to you, but I also think they're fantastic |

hey guys , thanks for all replies!
Im gonna try the URS classic console strip and compressor as well as the Sonalksis comp.
For EQ i think im gonna get Voxengo GlissEQ or CurveEQ.
DSP is gonna wait for now, but hope not for long..
Happy tweaking!

TC
some are better, some harder...
but i prefer the Ultrafunk suite.. ehm Sonitus because they don't color my sound at all.

PSP Mix Pack is nice to have... Mix Treble is quite unique device.
Magix VariVerb is worth having also. One of the best native reverbs so far
Flux Bundle sounds out of this earth but this bundle is quite new for me and I'm testing it for the last 2 weeks. But if I'm not wrong this is by far the most precise VST bundle ever. Compression is closer to analog than any VST compression I've worked with.
And one more thing. During the years I've also get fed up with Waves and I've tried many substitutes. In the end, with few honorable exceptions I've done a full circle and realized that Waves are one of the best tools around.
