well i had a smashing time seeing in the new year with a fantastic crowd of people!

The Liquid crew had tried to keep the event small and they totally succeeded.... throughout the night there was _plenty_ of room to dance around.... the chill out room was quite busy though....

I have to say i was worried at the beginning: I didnt know anyone (except for the people I came with) and the sound system was _terrible_ ! (I mean it...) But later on I think the EQ had been fiddled with more sensibly and the Boominess was gone... phew! No problems from then on. And then a whole bunch of my friends turned up unexpectedly:) Also at the beginning the crowd was noticeably very young.... but as the evening progressed it averaged out a bit more... by the end (10am) it was the usual mixture of total wasters (me and pals included) hehe

Indeed my favourite part was the last couple of hours: a stonkingly good progressive set by Patsy. I was forced to call on previously unknown reserves of energy..... the light started streaming in through the ceiling windows.... it was in fact like the morning at an outside party! (well... nearly)

Also in the chillout area was a projector which for a lot of the time was showing footage of the Guildford liquid party which I already said was my favourite party of this year! And at one stage when I wandered out of the main room I looked up to see me and some friends of mine dancing around on the grass! hoorah! Big smile.....

I apologise for not trainspotting much about the music.... I was enjoying it thoroughly from the point when the sound system was 'fixed'.... but I was a little wasted.... (it was new year after all....) music was fullon most of the night with crowd pleasers like scientific reality (no party would be complete etc etc) and speaking robot (two different Djs played this)... ending with Patsy's awesome set when I was moved to look at the list of DJs. Well I had sobered up by then. Actually I really enjoyed Vinny's set as well.

So altogether: the party got better and better as it progressed. It started off pretty ropey, but by the end it was the perfect small intimate party! Thanks so much Ross and everyone else! Lots of happy/funny memories...

Good review, Jon, must have been a great, non-commercial, party. I just hate when the sound system is shit, but if everything else was OK, then BOOM!
          .
...Be gentle with the earth...
...Dance like nobody's watching...

...I don't mind not going to Heaven, as long as they've got Coffee in Hell...

thanks fullon .... but just to clarify: I think it was eq'd badly on the desk at the begininning of the party.... once this was fixed everything was ok

This is a guess though.....
