they are one of the original electronic / trance bands.. not exactly psychedleic stuff though..

i dont have sure if alter ego is simon postford. im not really sure, but i know that he has a side project called alter ego or walter ego, or something like that.

They used to release a lot of classic hard trance on the legendary Harthouse label, but I think they are doing more of an elektro sound now. The released the track "Rocker" last year on Klang Electronic which was an absolutely massive club hit (at least in Germany). Yaniv licensed it for a Hadshot compilation (Floorfiller), which is definitely worth checking out.

I like "Rocker" too.. heard there's been a psytrance remix of it - wouldn't mind hearing it, as long as it hasn't been completely butchered

Yeah Rocker was one of the most talked-about dance tracks of last year...
i was quite dissapointed though when i heard theyre Full album,not 1 track to even half-match the greatness of ROCKER.
and about the psy remix - Shanti(Juvenille)made it not long ago... |

alter ego has NOTHING to do with hallucinogen, simon posford or psytrance at all!
alter ego are 2 guys from germany named roman flügel and jörn e. wuttke and they produce since the beginning of the nineties mainly electro and techno on german labels such as cocoon records, klang, kompakt, art of perception and many more. they are part of sven väth's cocoon booking family and co-produced sven väth's last 2 albums "contact" and "fire" as well.
again: they surely don't have nothing in common with simon posford and aren't making any psytrance!!! |

Shanty's tune is not really a rmx, he has used a couple of sounds(including that dreamy melody) from the original track. it will be out on Phase 3 in February...

Well obviously its easier for you to present it like this,because of the legal aspect...
but once u take the main melody of a tune,and a couple of other sounds -
what u have is basically a bootleg remix,unless you get the permition from the author/record company of the original |
