:: PRESS RELEASE ::
Altar Records presents its new compilation under the theme of the element : ETHER
This is the fifth and highly anticipated new compilation of the well-known psychedelic downbeat label Altar Records.
This singular element represents the 5th Chakra, love, space and shamanic experiences.
After having released Air, Water, Fire and Earth consisting of fresh, crispy, marvelous downbeat from well known Altar Records artists as well as Altar's newbies, Chronos, Astropilot, Flooting Grooves, Mr Peculiar & Athena, Tentura, Distant System, E-Mantra, Shakri, Lab's Cloud and Asura presents the best of their latest works specially made for this last release of the Element series.
Multilayered, colorful and spaced sounds with an ethnic touch to encounter a shamanic aural experience;
Gorgeous atmospheric psybient landscapes to fly high in the realms of ethereal space;
Light, warm and soft ambient music in diversified styles to get closer to our hearts.
A farewell and big thank you to everyone involved into my "Elements Series" project since the beginning!
Thanks especially to all artists for their amazing music and to the nice people who supported Altar Records by collecting the 5 CDs during a period of almost two years.

Interesting! please do and post a track list that is for you "decent stuff".
Please pick any titles from the 5 Elements if you'd would like to.
Maybe then I should consider to make a "best of", why not! I was thinking about it lately but I need a little help out..

Would happily by a best off, would be kinda cool to have it slightly mixed like the Ultimae style of release IMHO.
An elemental journey. Maybe start a thread after Ether asking people to post their top 10 tracks from all the releases, and then consolidate the data to make a best of!?
I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy!

Nice.But I want to see people participating, not just throwing a useless comment like above by Mr bom*shankar; otherwise there's no interest at all for a "best of".
Maybe I should ask to a Dj to collect and mix all the tracks, also mix some unreleased tracks like "Zeta Bieng" original version without the flute..and some tracks that could not be featured in the compilations because of the timing or their length.
Will see..

Good one DjZen I hope you can come up with more concept compilations. These series have been really good and it did bring out some good upcoming psy-chill artists like Lab's cloud, Zymosis, Tentura and Ra.
Zymosis was fantastic anywhich way, But lab's cloud really caught me with his deeper sounds. Hope to hear more tunes of him in the future. Thanks for the music and this Sound.
All the best.
cheers. !
btw >> Thanks for those 2 youtube links. Distant system is sounding kickass.

I wouldn't say a diluted Ultimae sound. While there are some Ultimae artists on the Elements releases, I think Altar has a bit more of a ethereal/spiritual sound across their releases. I can't put it into specifics. That's just how it sounds to my ears.

Lovingly compiled by DJ Zen, the Elements series has been a carefully crafted multi-layered down-tempo and ambient experience comprised of colorful and spaced out sounds that are laced with ethnic flair.
Each of these releases has their own unique sound and theme. Each is a carefully crafted audio experience. Air, Water, Fire, and Earth all filled with special contributions from many incredibly talented artists.
Now this beautiful aural journey concludes with the highly anticipated release of Ether. An audio representation of the spiritual and imperishable that exists around and within all of us, Ether carries your consciousness to the next plane of existence.
Featuring exclusive new tracks from Asura, Distant System, Astropilot, Chronos, Flooting Grooves, Mr. Particular (Feat. Athena Etana), Tentura, E-Mantra, Shakri, and Lab's Cloud the result for this final entry in the series is a feast of gorgeous atmospheric psybient landscapes that border on the shamanic!
A huge heartfelt “Thank you!” to the supporters of this series over the last two years and much gratitude to those contributing artists who's works made each entry in this series into the incredible ambient journey that this has evolved into.
