I suppose some of you also got this newsletter from Aliens... if not.....
"It is with a sad heart that I have to tell you there is no Alien this weekend.
This is due to factors beyond our control:
- The venue we booked was canceled at the last minute.
- We have been unable to secure another venue because of the short
notice and primarily because several venues have been irrevocably lost due to taggers who most likely call themselves graffiti artists. Tagging is not art. Anyone caught tagging at an Alien in the future will be names, shamed and banned for life.
Finding suitable venues is not easy and I am offering a finders fee of R1 500 to anyone who can secure us a venue in the future. We are looking for venues with trees/shade, grass, water, no neighbours and enough parking and are prepared to pay from R7000 for a venue with no infrastructure and up to R15000 for a venue with infrastructure such as toilets and 3 phase power.
Sorry about this - we are now focusing all our energy on the New Years Prism party with Vortex which is going to be killer so see you there.
