Alien Safari....Reloaded [AfroGalactic Records (S.A)]

01. Broken Toy - Spanking Season
02. Rinka Dink - Oink
03. Damage - Recieve Transmit
04. Broken Toy - Baby
05. Xatrik & the Slug - Use Your E.Q
06. Shift - Demon Twist Part 2
07. Damage - Thought Modulator
08. Phyx - Gravity Boots
09. Bent Sentient - Collapsa

The second Compilation in this series AfroGalactic records definitely doesnt dissapoint with this one. Style with this one continues from the last CD Pure Psychedelic FULL ON no progressive stuff here and very different from Isreali Morning Full On. Production quality on this is great. Nice Crisp Sounds. One warning though this has 4 Tracks by By Damage/Broken Toy and if you dont like this style...then this is Not Reccomended....

01. Broken Toy - Spanking Season Good Openeing Track..Nice Bass and Good Psychedelia..but for me this track failed with the break part..i expected a much more powerful recovery from a break in it
02. Rinka Dink - Oink Good track by RinkaDink...even though i found nothing extra special about it...its a pretty decent track..Good Kick
03. Damage - Recieve Transmit My Favourite track from this Compil. Good Base,Good PSychedelia and it takes off to a point beyond no return at times..Just Brilliant...and the vocals in the middle arent bad either a ***** Track
04. Broken Toy - Baby Definitely one of the better tracks form Broken Toy here...great stomper throughout and has a nice build..The 'Laser' Sounds are nice.
05. Xatrik & the Slug - Use Your E.Q Super Psychedelic track!!! perfect to play at about 5 in the morning (or an hour before dawn whichever comes earlier) If its a little windy that would help too..
06. Shift - Demon Twist Part 2 Not a good word while reviewing...But this track is definitely a Killer!!! Lovely Deep Bass and with the correct sound setup...will make you dance for quite some time
07. Damage - Thought Modulator Takes a little time for any of the action to start but once it does..there is no stopping..100% Damage Style....In the begining it really makes you wait but totally brings you back to the Floor
08. Phyx - Gravity Boots Another Danceflooer Track....got nothing much to stay about it because after the earlier tracks I expected a little faster track..
09. Bent Sentient - Collapsa Good track for the morning...with nice melody going on in the background but thats not the focus of the track as such..A little haunting for me
10. Artifakt - Get Some One could definitely call this the outro of the Compil. Short and Sweet Psychedelic.Exactly like an Outro on any Hip/Hop Album

Favourite Track: Damage - Recieve Transmit
Rating: 8.5/10

Overall a brilliant compilation.Superb Production a must have for FullOn lovers and people who like the African style of trance

Broken toy - Baby, I love that track, a surefire stomper!
And Drinkadrunks Oink is another belter of a choon - great nitetime stuff.
Watch out for nasty James Brown samples on track 10. I dont ever wanna hear another JB sample!

Overall though, an average compilation for me.

what really suprised and impessed me was the mix of styles on Area69 - Afrogalactics latest downtempo compilation. Hiphop elements, breakbeats, drumnbass and some very good buildups.

Stoked!
          Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!

Yeah, not sure about this comp. Just got it and it's got some good moments, but is fairly dodgy in parts... I agree with Pavi; my faves are the Rinkadink 'Oink' tune and 'Baby' by Broken Toy...

Afrogalactic is the same people who do the Alien Safari parties, right? I went to one of those early this year and it was brilliant... I think they should stick to doing those!? I haven't heard the Area 69 CD though.....
