I tested tau 2, VB1, and sent the bassline to some vst EQ and Waves ultramaximixer, But not is the same sound.

what VSTi use Astrix, Alien Project & Atomic Pulse for made bassline? where send EQ and compresor?

What vst delays use? time input and feedback parameters?

the sound of the bass is also depands on the mix with the kick. for astrix bass line u need to use saw wave in the tau-pro, rotate the knob as you like. open EQ and boost around 60-80hz. cut at 700-1700hz. at the score use short notes and take a few of your notes 1 octave higher.
its very important to use comressor but you`ll have to take your time and learn how/when/why to use it. sometimes astrix makes his bass from 2 layers of sound. 1 low pumpy bass and the 2nd is higher and buzzier.
I dont know why all the ppl on this forum wants their basses like astrix tho.           check out! www.soundclick.com/spasm

If you have VB and Tau you got all the tools you need, now just practice.

Good EQ, Good Compression, you'll be fine           Space is the place

Im more fond of Logic Bombs baselines, and Dark Soho have made some sweet dark ones,
also Deedrah´s new album contains some uber phat baselines thats groovy enough..

man the list goes on, it could go on for ages, the thing is that baselines are something you have to put your own touch to, and even if you are out too copy a certain baseline you will put your own touch to it... but why even have "copy" in your mind, if you feel attracted to a certain baseline and want to use it in your music you just have to remember the sound and take your tool and do your best job. or would you rather have a bass patch send to you and EQ and Compression Presets aswell? if so then i doubt your originality, you dont have it, you just want to make profit on something that sells good, or what ever...

make which baselines you want to do, but please dont ask people how to do them, thats not being true to your self, even if it is for educational purpose. Practise your self and work hard thats the only way you can stay true to your self.

rant over

now go on and work on that baseline, and remember you have to pin point the root note he used for the particular baseline, it´s mucho importante if you want to replicate it..

Ah Deedrah's new body and soul album, now the bass line on the first track is so full on, your ears bleed, it's very similar to his reloaded track! man that album is a stonker!

But I agree why try to make a bassline like astrix, i personally think over 60% of psy-trance revolves around that style!

I just use z3ta+ with 2 osc. one sine (-1 octave) and a saw, play around with every other setting, super fast attack no sustain and that's it...

oh yeah EQ , so it just rolls off the decay on the Kick. So it flows in a liquid kinda way

triptocoma we are all here to ask questions.
beseides that, its good to know the history before you`r building the future. expirament with "other artists" bassline will teach u how to do the things that u like.           check out! www.soundclick.com/spasm

Billy, i might have sounded a bit harsh, sorry
i guess i missunderstod his intentions, but sometimes you get so tired when people wanna do something thats already done.

but you are correct, one must learn from the past to make something new.

albino has nothing to do with bass - it makes pads.
the Synapse Scorpion 4(latest) - used for strings, pads, basses.
dont know how you make a bassline using it
