hi,, theres a huge difference in price betwwen the active and passive versions of these monitors, plz help me with these... if i decided to buy the passive ones, what kind of amplification do i need ??(as u can guess im not having a great budget)?? .

I got the actives.... in London... the price difference between active and passive is about the same as a decent amp... so i went active

I've got Active ones and I;ve also experimented with the Passive.

I would definetelly recomend the active,

first the passive ones have the bass holes in the back, the active ones have on the front (for me is very important since my speakers are not too far from the wall)

as monasticsquid said the diference of price will be about the price of a amp, and you get 4 amps specially made for the speakers (they are bi-amplified each speaker has 2 diferent amplifiers, one for the low freq and one for high freq)
