Yeah, from what I've been reading this time, the Alesis seem to exagerate the low frequencies, right?

Also, I've looked to the specifications and these two monitors have different ranges of frequency responses, the Alesis have more frequency response on the low frequencies and the Samson on the high frequencies.           serz/xynapse

@ astrotec

my man there are many much better monitors than yamaha and the comment about they sound truly flat is just not true.. no speaker/monitor sound truly flat they all have some impact on the sound and they all color frequencies in some point.

i find yamaha monitors not so clean or punchy with problems on the carity for sure an expensive yamaha is better than alesis m1 or samson rubicons but dynaudios genelecs and adams are much better than yamaha and i dont mention the likes of focal, emes, meyer, event, krk(expensive ones) and quested.

so yamaha's are not flat.......
flat response then mate, ever heard of that? it means no frequencies are exagerated believe it or not.
and what about a mix sounding good on the yamaha's? sayin it won't sound good everywhere? but i guess you know best, your a wise man aren't you? i forgot your names in blue so i should believe everything you say init?
perhaps your ears like exagerated sounding monitors, but i don't.i heard samson and alesis, and i'd still put even the old ns10s over them.why do The Who use them? why does they're studio and many studios still use them?
i don't get what your tryin to say here, i did not once say yamaha are the bestest thougth.
and you go on about this is bettter than that and not to mention the likes of these.
but to be honest if your on about expensive monitors....i'd rather use a pair of audio monitor 252 than any of the 1s you've mentioned. they are that good you won't even see them up for sale on the net anywhere at all cos only a numpty would sell them.
and i can't believe you even mentioned event, what are they when it comes to high end monitors chum?...... res(*)"e(+,.,ar,.,ch
genelecs i can agree with though.
but in the end i'm not havin a dig..... its the taste thing again, whatever suits you, different strokes for different folks.
