Hey guys, i'm making music with headphones at the moment cause i live in a paper walled house as all the houses in Ireland.
I will buy some monitors end of this month, was checking alesis stuff for a small not to loud solution and found these m1 active 520, small woofers, low power but made buy alesis.
I had active mkll in the past and really liked it, anyone here have ever heard these little 520s working?
Let us know brothers, cheers! |

Well, they are pretty revealing. Not the pair that makes you sound like a pro if u're not,and that is a very good thing.Allthough i would go for a sub to complete the setup 'cos the woofers are abit tiny.
pretty flat response and has like many others a room compensation that works pretty good.

Okej! Thanks, im in the process of getting my self a new pair of monitors, but its gonna be expensive so i thought id get some cheap ones before the real buy..
iv been watching the Genelec 8040, i thought the Genelecs where pretty revealing.. but they are expensive, i might get secondhand though.
and i think i will keep my blue sky system for reference.

Freeflow, genelecs are real nice but i've completely fallen for the Adam A7,they are so good.
Also the p11 and p22 are nice
My next buy after i'm finished with all this soundproofing of my workspace |

i think the best choice actually for monitors is Yamaha Hs80M by 360euros the pair...if u want cheaper than that maybe the choice is M-audio Studiophile Bx5A Deluxe for 145euros

I have the Alesis 620...and I´m very happy with then...
I use with a JBL 12'' Sub....And I need to be carefully with the loudness...to don´t get a "colored" sound... but a bit of tweaking, and i get a powerfull sound...
What is a "Crap sound" ? |
