i have the option to buy a alesis ION for 350.-Euros.
Don´t know how it sounds, and already got an Virus Ti.
Please let me know what you think! |

I heard that it's not that good...for 350 euro i would go for an used nordrack 2 instead

i got a nord 2 and a micron which has the same sound engine as ion, hmmm i like the nord better it just cuts thrue a mix more, but the micron engine sounds fatter and more rounded... id get the nord to compliment the ti... also check out perhaps a used micro Q waldorf
i think they are a awesome, a mate of mines has one and i liked what i heard and saw the few times i messed with it... so read more reviews and check out wats out there before jumping on ur first impulses best regards... Deyan |

well i have to say that Alesis Ion, is a fucking synth i like... almost every lead in our 1st album comes from it.
It's not very phat, but the filters are fucking funny to twk with, original is the keyword here.
If you know how to filter this fucker behind it's a gem.

Oh yeah! Sounds really good actually!
I've got a Virus TI myself, but if I were to buy another synth this could clearly be a candidate. Sounds like there's some serious possibilities in it.

Alesis always has great fucking filters to mess with..I used to have a fucking Micron, and the fucking thing only had 3 knobs, but it was still fun as fuck to play.

So what if it has 3 knobs, u have http://midictrl.com/ and u can control every function of micron with midi controller.. Its just like having an Ion..
