which one should i go for if i have to chooose between these 3 synths ... ?

I know two of them and wouldn't buy any of them, i would rather get a proper monitoring system or legal software.

I've owned the Alesis Ion and currently own a NL3.
Of the two the NL3 wins big time - nice FM and great filter combos.
Haven't gotten my hands yet on a Virus, so I can't say which is better, but I love the NL3. It's got a lot of bite with the various types of FM, but it can also be soft and sweet.
It's currently my favorite toy in the studio. |

The Access Virus powercore plugin is very good, if i were you i would go for Poco. Its based on Virus Indigo, not in your list but still a good choice imho. |

A DSP system is a good idea but having some hardware on your studio would be great, NL3 or virus are pretty reliable for trance production so it`s up to you at the end of the day. |

you should buy a secondhand virus c desktop and a nl 2, but if you have to choose one choose the virus c , you can do most of the nord sound with it (sometimes not as good)and more , there are some good vsti emulations for the nord(nl 2,but i heard lot of people prefer this one) |

I owned the Ion.. A bit qwarky , had a few bugs.
I curretnly own the Virus A ..Im extremely happy with it. Got it used 4 $400. There are a ton of patches for it just gotta find em.
Even Cosmosis has some patches you can download from his site.

I'm beginning to work with NL3. Well, looks great
Haven't chance to twist Viruses but they are spread among psy=trance producers so...
as for Ion - very few people i heard talked good about it :/ But who knows, maybe it's YOURS synth  |

i have Dynaudio and access virus recorded with an audiophile 24/96.
As u notice my sustem needs a good soundcard to record my virus dynamics.
I mean the more u get,the more u need.
Being on topic now.
Access virusisan endless synth with a specific sound.U can create almost any patch u need having access character
many artists have large studios with many many synths for getting the character.
You should try as many as u can and then decide.
Also dont believe that getting the synth you will get the sound u need the same day.
It needs some time to create it,maybe a year?
Cosmosis patches and other other i ve tested are worst than commercial,and nobody is gonna give u ready for psytrance patches  |
