Having just finished a 3,000 word essay on Classical Conditioning, I cam around to the point where I was looking at how a particular time or feeling can come back so vividly when condtitioned to a particular song...
my biggest example is track 1 off B.P Empire... I was in Denmark when I got this and had never bought an Infected song before hand...whe I listen to it now I get such vivd flashbacks to that time... and feel such real sensations and emotion related to it... really amazing (and no none of the time in Denmark was drug influenced)... I think for my thesis I might look at researching the effect of certain frequencies and how they influence the memory... |

Well that's a common phenomena methinks....
I get that all the time when listening to classic trance tracks - for instance when listening to Infected Mushroom - Psycho [Live Mix] I can vividly recall an secret outdoor forest party in Denmark somewhere around 2000.. It was a beautiful summernight and the atmosphere was amazing....
And whenever I hear a tune from the Man With No Name album Moment Of Truth my inner self is instantly taken back to my old room in my parents house where I listened to that album non-stop for months and months...
Same thing with Astral Projection "Searching For UFO's"... Whenever I hear that melodic synth riff, I see myself sitting on the London tube with my discman going to work back in 1999...
And it's even more distinct with other types of music... I'm sure we all know the feeling of rock/pop/whatever music that reminds you of ex-girlfriends/boyfriends?
I can name 50 songs that whenever I hear them they instantly remind me of the time I spent with different girls in the past... I think it's beautiful - that contributes to preserving the memory of time gone by... ;o)

Sounds and smells are much more powerfull bringing up memories than images
Thats why I choose the tunes to take in each trip I make very carefully  Its great to listen to them at home in the future, brings back so much memories  |
