I'm trying to affect filter cutoff, resonance, etc. for albino leads by assigning them to a cc in the mod matrix of albino. Then I put that cc from the hidden list into the cubase controllers and try to draw in some changes like I would do with volume, sustain, pitch bend, etc.
The problem is I can't get this to work without changing the number in the middle column of the mod matrix, and then even though what I draw in the controller window works, all my other notes are also somewhat altered.
I'm really new to producing so I don't really understand the underlying concepts of what I'm doing, which I suspect has a lot to do with this issue. Anyway, help would be appreciated!

what you want is called automation; the movement of vst-parameters in a loop.
can be programmed in the vst (if the vst has something for this) or coming from signals from your sequencer program (fe cubase).
in albino you can use the modulation matrix for this (MX on the right side). here you can program what moves what and how much. choices according to the pop-ups.
for sx3 you can also do this in the midipart, in the lower part on the left the pop-up showes you what you can use and then right you can draw the movement. or you go to the column with all the buttons and open under the midipart one more lane. works same as in midipart.
when automating from your sequencer you have to know what cc number corresponds with what parameter of the vst. this number you can find in the manual of albino. you can add a number with 'more' in the pop-up menu.
maybe take a read on automation in the search here and in the manual of the program you use. good luck and enjoy.

There's also the ECS mode on the albino that works like midi learn. You can turn the ecs mode to learn. Click on the knob you want to move and then move a knob on the midi keyboard to control it.
