I made a cool sounding lead in albino but for some reason the volume of the lead fluctuates throughout the track. I've looked through all the controls and I can't work out whats making the volume change? Is there some sort of automation going that I can't see?
I"m using a phaser and reverb in albino as well.
I'm using cubase btw, and theres no cubase automation happening that I can see either. |

what about modulation matrix?
do you modulate somethin on the volume or on anything else?
or even just compress the bounced audiofile todecrese dynamic range..

how is that volume change?
is it like in that part of the track, for a min or so, its high, then later in the track its for a min pretty low?
or is it faster changing volumes, like just a few kicks/bars?

could it be maybe a LFO routed for some oscilator or main channel with is afecting the amplitude ? or maybe lfo changin the cutott from the filter too with is makin the noise sound louder in some hi frequencies.
lots of option from albino can make that change in volume.

[i]how is that volume change? [i]
The volume changes gradually like during a 7 minute track it will rise and fall a few times.
It may be the modulation on the filter but i'm sure the filters modulations set quite fast like 1/2 or 1/4, i'll double check when I get home.
I've noticed this happening before but usually I can just automate the volume level in cubase to adjust but in this case it is way too much variation between the loudest and softest parts to do this. |

so its changing way more slowly than in a few notes/bars rate?
if so, how many other instruments are playing when its loud or when its soft?
maybe you got sometimes just some other sounds going that cancel albino a bit out

Cheers guys for the ideas, I ended up just remaking the lead noise in vanguard which sounds better anyway.
Its definitely not the other sounds canceling out albino, the sound was going from normal level to almost complete silence.
Maybe its just the dodgy copy of albino i've got. |
