And you haven't used the 2 filters at the bottom of the instrument yet have you... I've turned up the saturation on those things and gotten really nice results from it. Another thing to realize is that you can work in "combo" with other things to get the sounds you want. If it's a little thin but you like the sound, there's lots of plugin's to thicken it up... I respect those that choose to use a little efx as possible, but at the same time if you use the effects like tools, you can enhance a sound. True the albino is not like the virus, but at the same time it has some routing capabilities that make things a little difficult to pull off with the virus, and let's not discuss recording the hardware... I find that I don't have to use too much heavy eqing at all with most instruments that I use... Maybe that's just how I roll... All the issues that all of you have with this instrument get solved right within your sequencer.... When it was hardware days, if the synth wasn't thick enough, you kinda were s.o.l. unless you went and got a hardware efx unit... (which usually happened anyway) ...
On a related note... I used to not like the vanguard because I thought it sounded too thin as well... I learned what thickens it the best and now I use it.. It's fine if you don't like an instrument... but each synth and effect can work hand in hand to create a 'supertool' so to speak that will get you the right results...

ALLA-bino.....
i work a lot with this cool and very easy to use synth
so what i can tale u all about thet is:
u right, the sound of the albino is to small
he doesn't sound like the v-station 4 example
but the ALLA-bino easy to use and it can used to make leads
or small effects (i don't use it for bass-the sound to small )
anyway u can make amazin lfo's with matrix.
any one how want to here cool leads from my privet bank
be my gesst
(i recommend it 4 anyone who want to here what the ALLA-bino can do with the rigth knowledge)

The albino is a unique synth, named appropriately. I like it for what it is, it just works how I work, and it puts out a sound that just sits right in my heart, it feels like an extension of myself and I love it to death! To each his or her own! |

Albino 3 will be available in June 2006, for Windows and Mac OS X (PPC and Intel) as AU, VST and RTAS (Mac only) plug-ins. More info soon.
