I think the AKG K240 MK II's have a pretty bad response to do psy with. If you're looking in that price range I'd consider Beyerdynamic DT 770's. The Sennheiser HD 25's might work for you, but most people complain about the bass response being too much or too little, and they get pretty uncomfortable too. Try whatever you can before buying if possible.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

i was looking for a headphone too and so far the best seems to be hd 600 and 650 but the built in quality is not taht great so i bought the beyer dt880 pro who seems the best beyer for studio work.(dt 990 pro seems ok too but less details)

i've been working with K240 for 3 years already and got used to its sound. they are quite good and i do a big part of music in it: composing, arranging, making percussion and drum sections, controlling stereo image, searching and finding sample's and mixing artefacts (like noises or clicks) and so on. however i never can finish a track woithout monitor control (i even use 2 pairs actually).
headphones are good for composing. monitors are neccessary to get the good mix.

what is really nice in K240 (and other of this type) is that they are really comfortable to work with for a long time - don't hurt ears and head.
