It occured to me that there are manymanymany akai samples, which are probably very useful..... how would one go about using akai format sounds without the sampler..... perhaps converting it?

I think is possible to convert a lot of cd-r for hard ware sampler into others hard or software instruments.

check out u can choose which format u want it.. for esx24 halion as wav or soundfont or may be for kontact any format u like!!

guys, do u also know a utility that can read disks formatted by an akai? mesa doesn't want to work on my pc...

I'm curently programming a program that can make an iso from floppy-disks (i only found programs that can make iso's of cd's), to at least be able to backup the disks (since floppy's aren't reliable at all, even formatted in akai, which seems to increase the lifetime of a floppy exponentially)... but (and i know this is posibly a theoretical impossibility) is there maybe a programme that can READ the akai floppies?

I think that both Battery and EXS 24 can import Akai Samples. I know for a fact the EXS 24 can, but not too sure with Battery... I will check when I get home..
