i think its more possible that the bagage handler, through your bag and that made it broke.
I'v been putting ac adapters in my bags, but you have to well put them between cloths or something soft...
The cold has nothing to do with it. |

The cold probably doesn't have anything to do with it, but it's a good idea to wait a while before you turn on equipment after it's been outside in the cold for some time, because water can condensate on the electrical circuits. If you turn on a cold computer in a warm humid environment you're likely to fry your mainboard etc. Maybe there still is some condensed moisture in your adapter, so it might help to lay it on a radiator for a while. |

I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work but other than that, you've no idea how they throw around luggage at the airports
I even suspect some are being opened up for examining. |

when i went to london i put my cabels in the baggage (Not in the handbaggage)...
Is it possible that they don't work anymore because it was too cold in baggagespace of the plane ?

I make it a point when I fly to always take my computer/midi keyboard/soundcard as my carry on baggage. I am a little paranoid of baggage handlers throwing my stuff around, not to mention I like to write trax on the airplane...

Hmmm, I have a related question. How do you transport your gear if you have for example synths, samplers and mixers and stuff... I mean, you can't take them all as handbagage and I wouldn't be comfortable leaving an access indigo 2 or even my sampler in the hands of some noncaring lugage handler... Is it possible to make it clear that "thou shall not throw my lugage!"?

This is exactly why many producers have the party promoter rent gear for them...

There should be a department in airports called "Special Care"...there would be the safest way to transport your equipment...done it before, without any problems...when they're in flightcase ofcourse..
