The Air Bureau are Swedes Henrik Larsson and Niklas Ehrlin - 2/3 of the famous hard-hitting techno act Headroom. After countless 12” releases and years of blinding crowds around the world with Headroom’s famed 6-turntable techno sets, Henrick and Niklas formed the Air Bureau (formerly The Aircrash Bureau) in 2001 as an avenue to explore boundary-pushing house music. The results were immediately noticed. Their first single, the sultry “Don’t Expect Me (To Forget You)” on Vsual Recordings was a worldwide club hit, gaining support from top DJs such as John Digweed, Deep Dish, James Zabiela, Hernan Cattaneo, Timo Maas, Pete Tong, Cass, and countless others. Regular radio play (on UK’s Radio 1, and throughout Europe) and massive chart success (#2 on the Balance Promo Chart, #1 in various Scandinavian dance charts) led to 2 subsequent re-releases on Stockholm Records and Loaded Records. The follow-up singles and remixes on labels such as Kamaflage, ACDC, Vsual, Stockholm, and now Sprout Music have shown that the Air Bureau is nowhere near ready to slow down.
Making their debut with the remix is the combination of label boss D-Nox (Groove Express) and Frank Beckers (Export Audio). D-Nox is one of Germany’s most seasoned and in-demand progressive DJs. Having travelled the world many times over, he has gained a reputation as a masterful deck wizard with the ability to turn any party into an electronic carnival. Frank is best known for his extensive discography as Space Safari & Export Audio, having released 2 albums and numerous tracks and remixes. This collaboration blends the dancefloor know-how of a veteran DJ with the studio touch of a trained producer to create absolute dancefloor magic!
“We Shine” is a quirky yet commanding track which combines the best elements of in-your-face tech-house with peak-time progressive grooves. With an enormous overdriven bassline and forceful stabs & jabs, this track is perfect for those times when nothing but an explosive corker will suit the dancefloor.
“We Shine * D-Nox & Beckers Remix” is a remarkable introduction to this dynamic duo. this week we reached number 9 at Tune Inn Records Chart [top 50] – 16/08/2004 *Official* Coolcuts, Buzz and Hype Chart
and Number 3 at the Piliavin & Zimbardo - August Buzz 2004
Air Bureau - we shine also became the tune of the month in the IDJ Magazine
