Hi, although i know the basics of saw creation i would like you to throw any tip you can think of to create killarg xD sawleads.
I know... low oct SAW OSC + unison / detune + heavy distortion ... i love trilogy and z3ta saws but i don't know if there is anything else to achieve sharp agrressive saw leads.

... you can put some lfo modulation filters over it too... apart from the ones that the synths has.. it will give it still more crystal - liquid like presence. and if the lfo can modulate very rapidly over the stereo it will be still more present. 
also you can try to modulate with lfos very agresivly the pitch, but i mean really rapidly...
also you can put some good vintage like distortions overdrives...
try also izotope trash for example, especially its Box Model section..

hipass filters on synth with resonance fully up then play with cuttoff and distiortion phasers etc

Thanks i'm getting so close.
Is it ok to use a compressor so i can have a sharper more agressive attack on my saw synths? Like heavy compressing everything of my signal but the very begging so it slams in percussive way? |
