Fact of the day: drill'n'bass, glitchcore, and mellow DnB do not exist as far as the psytrance scene is concerned, and are therefor labelled "chill" together with the rest of the non-4-on-the-floor electronica.

Maybe you'd like Venetian Snares.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

170 bpm chillout? would that really be chillout anymore? Tchaikovski- 1812 with a few enhancements would a good 170bpm chillout track..replace the cannon with lazers           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

that guy is a pure genius, and listening to all his stuff (HUGE number of albums) i found somethingh who you cannot absolutely call chillout but it has some strange "chill" vibes like this one:

i somehow completely unintentionally and unexpectedly went to his performance, which turned out to be the best mosh-pit i have ever participated in my life. that music blew my mind and the body was in domestic intensive care for few days. totally chill out.           the sky was pink

I think some people are misunderstanding what BPM actually is, it doesn't necessarilly mean that it's faster just beatier and you can have some really laid back tunes that just are driven by interlased beats like someone mentioned you get in Drum and Bass. and it gives a strange fast - slow effect.

Two tracks that are the same bpm can feel like they're different speeds

I was once DJing happy hardcore and some people complained that it was too fast, so I switched to drum n bass and they were satisfied, even though it was the same bpm
