Hi there, i have been noticing a lot the trance scene around the world since i got into it in the year 2000...I noticed that before the psychedelic parties had music for the night for the morning and for the afternoon. Everything was one and the people enjoyed it because it was all new and there was a lot of energy in the dancefloors in Thailand and Goa India at that time...
Well time flew by the scene sort of exploded and so many different styles we have been going through together...I feel now that Trance is passing through ages like the age of progressive and now this year it's like the age of dark, a lot of dark music is coming out and morning were is morning? It seems to me that we will be passing through Ages of music what do you think?
Do you think it's the age of dark right now?

I just descovered in my little head that GOA-Trance = Acid-trance.
This revolution came to me in a dream while listening to a "Destination Goa" album.
Music ages goes in cycles Ganjaman The cycles just goes faster and faster and faster and faster .. . . Evolution in a nutshell. =)

Very true that music goes with ages and sometimes it just keeps going sooo fast and yet i still do not like so much of the new music, maybe it's my ears or my hearth but i can't wait till we have something really fresh and new that will inspire the hearths of many of us waiting for it! Chillout is the key right now but i miss so much the fullpower beats of trance!

Well i think there is no danger that the trance scene will get into the age of cheesy pop trance.
Of course cheesy pop trance music will exist, and it will probably be alot more of it, but at the same time there are lots of good people trying to work out good things in the underground, and more and more good psychedelic trance get released now and then. Good people, if they are artists, djs, organizers or other people involved in the scene, does not want you to feel like you're in hell even if there are dark music to be played. It doesen't matter if the music is dark, light, melodic, heavy, funky or twisted as long as it is music done with the right intention and it makes people dance like crazy 
If you do not find music you like, i suggest you dig deeper, there is lots of good music out there. Some of it could be hard to find, it just takes a little effort and you will be satisfied in the end  |

It seems to me that so called "dark" was a very short term hype. As soon as it got hyped the releases increased, and the quality dropped (Not in production, but in music..) - I think the new hype will be more "Goa" like then what we have ever experienced before.
Psychedelic music is once again on a rise.

we are also in the age of electro I think,dark an full on,but is more what I choose to listen, bringing back the age of goa...

that album is not that bad... if you can exclude the meanings of words, and listen to the notes of the voices..
the first music has one little part that is a bit tooo cheesy, but the rest of the track really has some good strange sounds, and apart of the decaying of larger than life sounding like subliminal publicity from "hi5... hi5... hi5" that was the only part that creeped me out...
on-topic... yeah its been coming much psychotic in the last months right after the prog wave.... but the past month they've lauched pump-fiction, x-vida has a killer promo. psynina as well(there are a few technical challenges for them, but the sounds are great). psyonic distorcion, full power great compilations.
twisted system got a new killer album.
the guys from dynamic got the incredible-music illness while working with junya, and they show it in the Sound.
paper squad continues to have everything but a deadman hand to continue playing
dari sana with a really psy-circus. and cyclesphere cought the eskimo illness too.
so with such great stuff, i dont know for how long the psychotic age will last, sadly, because the stuff that was in "dark strike express" and "lethal doses" was really something, oh and "refused" too. cant say the same for the so long talked and awaited deadly aliance from claw and paraN |
