as much as it hurts me to say so.. i don't find anything wrong with a 25 year old listening to britney spears.
god, that hurt to say.
but, its true.
there is no such thing as 'bad' taste. taste is taste, man. you can't judge it... there are so many psychological/sociological factors playing a part in the determination thereof, that to place one's own taste above another's is foolish.
of course, you might argue, a deeper knowledge of music theory, for example, might aid your taste (as is the case with all the arts) however its irrelevant. people like things for different reasons, and how ever old/experienced/knowledgable one might be, the fact is they like a particular thing for a particular reason.
its such a hard concept to stomach, especially when so passionate about one's own tastes. but think of your body's natural 'tastes' like food. some people can't stomach certain dishes regarded as delicacies. i, personally, can't drink beer - at all - and people who love beer always give me stick for it. but i can't help it.
you have to admit britney is talented! haha.. jokes.. but you know what i'm trying to say. its a general overview of opinion relating to the whole 'astrix/infected/skazi/gms suck' comments we are subjected to ad nauseam.
no, they don't suck.. they have all made highly successful careers out of a challenging art. they are extremely talented, hardworking professionals. and that is the bottom line.

well astrix isnt the only thing i like!
Twised system is also one of my favotits!
Some hajuboy tracks are also damn good.
Infected i dont like , there tracks dont sound very refined , and they dont put alot of efort in them.
there is a HUGE deference from astrix to infected.
Becides , astrix is loosing his style , im moving more to other things , like DNA , and more dark artists. |

infected don't sound refined? hmm.. i don't know.. i can fully understand criticism of their style or songwriting.. but to say they don't put effort is unfair, in my opinion. they are very experienced, very talented musicians/producers.. who have merely branched to a different style - bear in mind they label themselves a 'trance band', never declaring themselves 'psychedelic' in recent times.
do you know classical mushroom, the gathering and bp empire, crysis?
