so yes $30 is a low price

hmmm...
I've also been to festivals with well-known international headliners that cost $15-$40. Everywhere in the US outside the East Coast, actually.
i am not saying $30 is too much for this one, but how high is it gonna go after the pre-sales are gone?

im really tired of people bitching about prices for festivals. no offence dimitry.
they cost money to organize! wow! what a concept.
if you dont have some * way to get money other than ticket sales then you can either strive to make your money back or you can lose money.
smart business people dont lose money unless its out of thier control....
if you want to play, you gotta pay, even 100 isnt too much for a weekend of wonderful madness in my opinion.
its funny that most of the pricey festivals are in the east coast... hmmm this issue has already been beaten into the ground.
seriously, this party is in a cave ! how can you even consider the money ? experience is priceless. you might need to save some money or budget or something, but its sooooo worth it.
this fest is very reasonably priced
the money is not a concern with this one imho
neuromotor in a cave, hello?!
plus all the rest, its going to be incredible.
see you there.

holy shit this is incredibly cool
i agree, bitching about the price is lame, 30 bucks IS a low low price, people here pay 30 bucks just to listen to one of the dudes in wizzy noise play a lame dj set
If i was in the states I would go to this, but i'll be in europe, good luck!
We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. |

ok ok you east coasters.. don't quote me those ridiculous overblown new york prices. I agree $30 is not too much for this party - besides when I made my comment Neuromotor wasn't on the lineup.
I think party prices are dictated by the location mostly - everything on the East coast is much more expensive, but people also get paid more than, say, in the Midwest. I am speaking from experience, having lived in both places.
I believe parties should be affordable so that everyone can attend. I hate hearing my friends say "I would love to go to this party, but I can't afford to spend $100 and pay gas, food, etc. to attend.
Maybe there should be a sliding scale - first week the tickets are $20, next week it's $40, the week after it's $60, and encourage people who can spend more to buy the more expensive tickets. Work-trades, like clean-up or gate duty, etc. is also an option. Here in the Southwest promoters sometimes offer discounted admission to people driving from other states, etc. That's a really nice way to get folks to travel - here in the US where the distances between places are so huge it could be a real boost for the scene.
so no, I am not just bitching - I would just rather see more people dancing than less.
2 cents.
