Aes Dana live at Gaian Mind Summer Festival June 2008 plus interview with Vincent and Sunbeam. From a solipsistic NATION radio station broadcast August 1, 2008.
1 hour (55Mb) download or stream from link or player on this page:

Unreleased material from forthcoming Leylines album and Season 5 / Memory Shell remixes.
The interview is quite interesting - and I found out how to pronounce Aes Dana properly!
[Apologies if this has been posted before but I couldn't find it with the search engine]

The mix is great but in the interview bits the background music makes it really hard to follow. It's a lot of noise and distraction that does not really help the poor telephone quality.
Why not simply have silence when talking?

Yeah, the audio for that interview wasn't as good as I would have liked.
As for why I don't have silence during the interviews is that the music covers a lot of the noise that creeps in over a phone call. Plus, silence breaks the momentum of the show. |

Balancing out the length of an interview with the mix that is featured in each show is always a tightrope act. Some people prefer no interviews at all while some prefer brief interviews while others like the long conversations
One way I've gotten around some of these problems is that I'll often make the extended, unedited interviews available to listeners as a separate download like I did for my interview with Amon Tobin (http://solipsisticnation.com/?p=136). I think of it as the extra material you might find in a movie DVD. |
