So I'm working on a track I'm really enjoying, I know where I want to take it after this section but don't really know what else to add to make it more high-energy, something that'd be expected after quite a long break. Any advice on what to do with the post-break section?

few 'problems' imo

the main sound coming back after the break is the same like the one before - nothing "new".. it can be either same line or same sound but not both

the bass in 00:56 can change to faster maybe?

maybe another pitch/filter sweep from 00:50 to 00:56

big reverb on 00:50 or 00:56 is missing to announce that this is the real entrance and not another "almost there" point

first of all the sample mood and the music mood are opposites.
the music sounds upbeat, the sample sounds depressive and degenerate peasant uneducated coloured druggies.
U have to either change the music or the sample.
if u wanna keep the sample the music has to be more ominous. if u wanna keep the music your sample has to be changed.

Also
Your arrangement of lyrics "tik tik tik tik" isnt very smooth and seems awkward. english uses stress destress alternate sounds.
i.e. there WAS a MAN from KENT.
for proper lyric arrangement the stress and destress have to correspond correctly to the metre stresses of the music. i.e. if u divide the bar into 8 parts, and count 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &, the stresses should lie on the numbers i.e. TIK & TIK & TIK & TIK &
what uve done is basically saying KENT KENT KENT KENT 3 & 4 &.
I suggest u change that to be smoother.

Yeah, I've decided to take the whole tiktiktik part out, it definitely changes the feel of the track too much. Back on the wagon though, so all's cool. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reverb-on-the-real entrance help too, never used that in any of my tracks.

so try something like process your snare with some 10 seconds reverb and cut the actual snare out of this sample           www.sattelbattle.com
