most machines built in the last couple of years come with both an VGA (blue) and Digital (White) connectors all ready in place, how old is your machine?

I'm using a pair of XFX 7600 GS - has dual DVI output, & passive heat cooling (i.e. no noisy fan). I was able to get some cheap on ebay since it's a little older card.

It comes with DVI->DB9 adapters in case you are using older monitors. I believe it comes in an AGP version as well as PCI-E.           Keep The Faith,

I have a graphic card to sell (8400 GS) with 2 DVI outputs if you want, 20 euros + delivery

It is new (never used) and in it's box with everything.

You mean 1 PCIe x16 slot?
because that's what the graphic card should sit on.

I would get a silent card.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

if you have a graphic card already, then replace that one.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Btw, are egg boxes a good idea ? I know that they don't do much, but as they cost nothing, it's still something.

Excepted of course if they fuck your sound instead of improving it.

I have the motherboard graphic card...so I guess I can't replace it
are you saying that I can't do it if the pci is not PCIe?
there must be a way...

It's either AGP or PCIe, PCI is not used with graphic cards

Actually, there are PCI graphics cards, but to my knowledge, no one has produced them for many years now.

AGP port are brown.
PCI ports are white
PCI Express ports tend to be other colors, like green, or blue.
