depends what you want, fx, eq or compressor...
i would advice the Cambridge EQ, its 150$ and it a very useful eq for precision eqing.
and if you have some more money left you can go for the LA-2A compressor, very good. |

Sorry, but that is a ridiculous question.
There are about 60 plugins that cover every area of mixing in the UAD range.
You haven't specified what you already have and what you need!
You might as well have asked "I want to *a* plugin, suggestions?'

i haven't used it myself but the fatso is supposed to be the next level for ITB plugs that sound analogue. it's a cpu hog tho. the emt 250 reverb is supposed to be amazing as well |

I want, plugins for mixing, not fx, perhaps a reverb.
only eq, comp, etc.
I use logic, with space designer , izotope ozone 4, psp sQuad, T-Racks 3 and vintage warmer. They are great, but takes all of my cpu resources when mixing.

I wasn't won over by the fatso demo, I tried it for 2 weeks and couldn't really find a use for it.
I'm mixing acoustic this week, and for some reason my 2 week demo has been reset, I'll give it another go on some different sounds and see what happens. |

Why not try.. um.. Google?
The UAD website?
The UAD homepage has a video on
every! single! plugin!, what it does and a bunch of other 'hey look what UAD does' videos.
But you know.. that's just a suggestion |

don't bother with the eqs. if you want some amazing plugin eqs look to nebula. as for compressors the afore-mentioned fatso is, from what i've heard, the pick of the bunch. other then that there is the 1176ln, la2a, la3a, fairchild compressor, all good.
