There is a law that artists should be paid if their music is being played on the Radio, and even the barbers play music in barbershops or other ppl in any kind of public places, should pay to artist's some kind of group - check this link, its in Hebrew, sorry:

Is it the same in Trance scene?
I find this law ridicules: Artists should be paid only 4 albums and parties.

Like everything else, this law has it's benefits and losses.
From one side it's nice that the artists can make some $ for being popular, but there's again those law conflicts with copyrights...
