Hello, I'm thinking about buying ADAM P22A's in replace of my BM5A's. Has anyone heard these? What are some comments? |

I think I've decided that its cheaper to buy the A7's with the Sub8 instead. Does anyone have this setup? |

I use the A7s with a 10" krk sub. I had used BM6As before getting this setup and prefer the A7s. I don't use the sub any longer, but that is simply because of my neighbors. |

if you want more bass its always better to go with a bigger box than with a sub..simply dues to phasing issues..
saw people crouching on the ground for several days just to find the right spot for the sub etc..
the p22 are great speakers for sure..

they are good man but don t sell the dyns ,dyns + adam are a good match, for the bass it ll depends about your room , but less bass is always better than too much imo( p22 have enought bass it s just not hyped)
i have find they react a lot to room acoustic, they are as good as the room you put them in. |

Thanks for the responses. I would like to buy the P22A's but there much more expensive than if I was to buy the A7's with the Sub8. P22A's would cost me $3100 after taxes, and the A7's + the Sub8 would only cost me $2300 after taxes. |

3100$ yes it s very expensive maybe you could check the p11 but man don t sell your dyns, or wait to see if you still need them after the upgrade, cause you might regret it |

The p11a's only go down to 48Hz. Kinda defeats the purpose of me buying new monitors, since the bm5a's go down to 50hz. |

I'm gonna buy A7+Sub8 in Jan (1 939dollars, 1 293euros).
I did consider also KRK, Dyns, Genelec etc, but many people seem to compare A7 to NS10 (they are unforgivable and once it sounds good with A7, it will sound good in any other system)

The ns-10s are used to check the midrange. Anything else is above their capabilities

We use the p11's and we got respectable room acoustics, far from perfect but respectable. We have a sub aswell but mixing with it is out of the question. It's on bypass 90% of the time we spend in the studio.
I consider p11's to deliver a honest sound.

From what I hear the Studio sub is a big pain in the ass to get placed right. You end up with a ton of phase if your not sitting in the right spot.
It is better imo to get monitors that cover your max range of freqs to not need a sub.
It could also forces you to work on your room acoustics. Lots of DIY acoustic solutions out there.
