Hello everyone
Time for me to spend some money on monitors. I'd really like to buy Dynaudio BM6 but the thing is i'm short with money and i will have to compromise abit for the time being.
I'm wondering about ADAM Monitors, and especially ADAM ANF10 Monitors.
They are Passive monitors.
They cost 4,250nis in Music Shop in Tel Aviv, and that store can also bundle Alesis RA-150 AMP for additional 1200nis, so that's 5,450nis total.
Here's some info from ADAM Audio site:
"..The ANF-10 is a two-way shielded passive monitor that produces unique imaging and outstanding transient response at a very attractive price point. It combines a brand new redesigned A.R.T. folded ribbon tweeter and a 7" woofer in a relatively small bass reflex cabinet. It was primarily designed for small to mid-sized project studios; however, it can also be used comfortably in any application where a small passive monitor is called for, from top-of-the line recording facilities and broadcast/post applications to professional or home surround monitoring.."
- Freq.response - (± 3 dB) 50 Hz - 35 kHz
- Power handling - 60 W (sin), 90 W (music)
- Woofer - Ø 180 mm (7"), coated paper
- Tweeter - A.R.T. tweeter
- W x H x D - 180mm (7") x 330mm (13") x 280mm (11")
- Weight - 5 kg (22 lbs
- Warranty 2 years

What do you think?
Please feel free to post your ideas, reviews, or anything relevant you know about adam monitors and about
these 'ANF10' Passive monitors.

I have not heard these monitors, but I can't recall ever hearing something bad about Adam monitors.
One thing to keep in mind with passive monitors is that you will need some sort of amp to power them. So don't think that this is the cheapest deal out there.
Also, every amp will have some sort of affect on the sound so look into amps before you make this purchase.

I am not sure about amps. I have always stuck to active monitors.

I'm joining his question. Any opinions?
How would they compare to the Tannoy Reveal? |

Mike,
ADAM ANF10 at their price ragne kick all budget monitors including Tannoy Reveal, All beringherz and even the most expensive Alesis monitors.
This post is kinda old and at that time i have already bought the classic Alesis monitor one (mk1, the passive ones) (becuase i was short of money) and i must say that they serve me well for the money they worth. Of course soon i could efford myself much better monitors i'm gonna keep the alesis anyway because they are so sweet and great as reference monitors. The real quesion now is, ADAM, Dynaudio or Genelec

Thing is that I have some money now and the ANF10+RA150 sounds like a nice thing, especially if I'll sell my Tannoys. What other options are there?

none at that price range. if you add more you could buy passive dynaudio bm6 and save more for studio amp such as samson servo-550 which i own and many others as well. (works very well with passive dynaudio/alesis)
