i don`t know the yamaha but you cant go wrong with the adams. Yamaha HS80 where not that great. Even the legendary NS10 sound shitty but if you make a good mix on them you can be sure it translates well to most other systems. I wouldn`t buy yamaha actualy.
hope that helps a little bit..
cheers

I've been a proud user of Adam monitors for years now. They just have a nearly unbeatable price/performance ratio. The A7X are wonderful, and I have yet to hear better studio speakers for that price.

Hey folks, thanks a lot for your words...
After listening to Adam A5X , Mackie MR8 and JBL LSR2328P all around 600 euros (yamaha msp7 and adam A7X were way out of my budget) i noticed that Adam was super nice very crispi and open sound but i could not hear the low freq. even with sub i really was missing this body in the sound, then i tried the mackie and i could hear more the lows but the general sound was a bit "basic" but then we switched to the JBL and the sensation was relaxing i had no more question marks, this was what i was looking for fat and rounded bass and the highs well.. not so crispi of coarse as the Adam but in general and for the price i was very confortable with this JBL after i seted them up in the studio i made some adjustments in the back of the monitors cuting the lows a bit to let the highs breath and it was perfectly fine i widely recomend them (price = benefit).
The only thing is that if u really want to have the best of this speakers u most have a good audio interface, so soon i will go for a RME or MOTU.
