Or maybe next time it happens, we will think it is an isolated incident, instead of a trend....In trance, that is not ok...That is anti-our community.....Person shows up after being booked and his or her trip paid for...Then refuses to play, but demands all of his money because the crowd is too intimate, and not flashy? Crazy.....

So, you can call him or her out and if he or she sees it, he or she can respond....If you are mistaken, anyone of the 50 people at the event can respond to his or her defense....

I am not saying you should call people out, but if you start the post, you shouldn't leave it open ended like that. Seems as if you are just trying to stir something, I think.

not only did he get a rock thrown at him, the internet is flooded with this topic now.

Now that's a very valid reason to quit the show in my opinion!

I actually remember a party here in Denmark a few years ago, where Eskimo had a bottle thrown in the head because of some technical difficulties. I know he doesn’t have the best reputation in the scene, and I’m certainly not the biggest fan of his music, but I must say he earned some respect in my book, when he played his set like nothing happened.

Wow, that's really messed up. I can't say I blame them for getting pissed. It's amazing how rude people can be to throw a rock or a bottle at somebody on stage like that. I do have to say that it's worth 1,000 respect points that Eskimo in Denmark kept right on going. Downright admirable. That guy deserves another booking just for putting up with that so gracefully. What the hell is wrong with people that they would throw a bottle at someone's face like that. Most people I know would have either quit right then and/or moved to beat the dude down. Understandably so, too. That's definitely a case where the act would have been perfectly justified to walk off. But he took the high road, something which most people obviously wouldn't do. Props to him. Thanks for sharing that.

Apparently there were so few people at this show that none of them can fess up and answer the question?

Also - if any of you shady fucker fucks out there ever has the urge to just not play, remember that thats probably your last gig in that town, as everyone there will not be commending you to their friends. You might also want to consider that the empty dance floor is because you don't have that many fans in this town. Probably don't want to piss them off.           Spacecamppsyfari.com

Simple, you double drop put on a CD with a long mix of your favourite tunes, get down on the dancefloor for the most intimate private party ever and dance all alone in front of a P.A. like there's no tomorrow.

Ego rush and ego tripping...can kill ur reputation and ur career and most importantly ur fan base...even a single fan can destroy ur reputation over night using forums, blogs, facebook, twitter etc...sometimes even if the organizer may not pay u, but there a a few people amassed, like it or not u r better of playing rather than having ur image tarnished all over the net.
as the story goes...u r dispensable and replaceable...u may be big for now but tomorrow someone better will come and u will be just another has been, old and full of grudge.           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

anyway the artist belong to this thread doesnt has a voice here - so stop asking for names please, as long the artist does not decide telling his version of the story.
in all the cases i have seen around me when an artist dont want to play it has allways been because of very good reasons.
