Riktam and Bansi have shown great talent by moving onto new ground and producing some excellent prog tracks (imho). For them it was overdue anyhow..how much full on can you possibly make without wanting to try something fresh, experimenting on new ground..

Sometimes there are some sudden and strange changes in style.....Whicked Hajo anyone? Ok so we dont know what to expect, but in the end nice work for developing ones own style rather than running into the same wall again and again.....

they'll have their reasons.. as long as its psychedelic i personally dont care if prog, fullon, dark, etc... i like good music... and there is plenty for the right times of the day...

@bbgun:
no need to convince ppl that your taste is the best of the creme... funny thing is that you listen to these sounds, knowing what you dont like...

That wasn't the point genius I heard his recent EP for the first time; only then did I figure how atrocious it was. My point is, very few artists who switch from full on to night can actually make some thing decent. So, what's funny is...knowing you don't like comments, you read them & comment

from full on to dark:
cpu to cpu on acid
only 2 tunes so far - not anything revolutionary - but compared to what sammy is upto otherwise - much preferred
now if only he finds that sweet spot between full on activity and dark grim moods - then we'll be in for a ride

positive changes:
para halu - from great dark music to super psychedelic music
ocelot - from being the vector selector to making every kind of electronica you can think of. goo ocelot!
furious - making waves with both crazy astronaut (high bpm melodic music) and delerious noon (super full on/morning)

cheers!

I see music as a learning process in its technical side and as a vehicle of feelings and ultimate expression of inner life (mental and spiritual).

Theres reasons and there's "reasons" for an artist to change his style, one being of course the pursuit of economic gains, meaning his stuff was empty from the beginning, the content of his music is waves after waves of copy paste, meaningless crap that ends up sounding just the same, a simple crowd pleaser with no real creative effort, were the crowd goes he goes...

Other reason would be changing his style but in a growth of musical knowledge sense, that is noticed on the composition of the track and not leaving the chosen genre.

Other reason is reaching the limitations of a given genre in terms of creativity thus making the artist abandon it in search of a more suitable style to continue his growth, most times what will happen is a fusion between styles creating something new.

I believe in multi-talent and im all for multi genres. If an artist can express himself this way then he should go for it. Musical expression must not have boundaries! It must have EMOTIONAL CONTENT only valid reason for a change.           -------------d(oO)b----------------

Fungus Funk -- dark to full on
Para Halu -- Dark to full on

both have some new good sounds but I really really enjoyed the old ones

Ocelot has always been doing a lot of here and there which I really like and the same with electrypnose now doing electro (good electro) sets

But I don't really like electro at all.. and his old dark sets (elec..) were soooo fucking awesome and his tracks and basslines just set me off.

but that's my two cents and all in my opinion
