I guess when its in 3 way mono its only affecting the subs?

Don't understand what you're asking..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

i have this crossover for the soundsystem, i can choose from running it 2 ways, where its crossing between the low/mid+high , this way it will all run in stereo... When running it in 3way, i have the subwoofers in mono, and i can use the crossover for mid/high.

What is the best way?

"Parallel crossovers

Parallel crossovers are by far the most common. Electrically the filters are in parallel and thus the various filter sections do not interact. This makes two-way crossovers easier to design because the sections can be considered separately, and because component tolerance variations will be isolated. In the years before computer modeling, three-way crossovers were designed using the same value, but the advent of iterative design software has taught that this old technique creates excess gain and a 'haystack' response in the midrange output, together with a lower than anticipated input impedance."

Though i dont have a clue about this, but very interesting things....

It's hard to answer because I'm not sure why you even need to use an active crossover. Other than the sub, what are you sending the outputs to? Why do you want to split the mids and highs?           You believe in the users?

i have 4, 18" subs and 2 15" tops and 2 12" tops.
i want the low freq in the sub, low mid in the 15" and high mid in the 12" while the highest frequencies are going to the horns.

thats why =) anyways, i think i will figure it out today when testing the soundsystem
