The egg-thingies will definetly work. They are good in two different ways:
-They absorb some of the mid/high frequencies.
- The ones reflected will not be thrown back in the same direction, but thanks to the rugged surface of the egg-carboard, they will go in many different directions (which is good!)

Rosengren is right about the bass though, they don't help much there. For that you need something big - that's why beddroom studios often have good accoustics. They tend to have beds in them, that can really work wonders for the lower frequencies.

i have to agree with amygdala theroie yes beds should absorb bass low freq quiet good but ....
i have my studio in my bed room its not too big have a big bed in it a thick carrpet on the floor n i still cant get a good mix n eq because of the reflected freq.
so i think there is a lot in to it expect the bed.

Well...i will make an Open Air Studio !

hehehe...so there will be no problems with acoustics.

RT = Reverbaration Time = time it takes for sound to drop by 60 db from its original volume......obviously counting the reflections on the wall or if you prefer how much the wall absorbs the sound.....

Well I will try everything I can about the low frequencies (but I won't make my bedroom a studio, maybe the other way will do ) Thank you for providing me with some information
