no, thats not gonna work fine..

u need a measurment mic with cardioid capsule..

like this one.. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/359562-REG/Earthworks_M50_M50_Measurment_Microphone.html

maybe u can borrow one in a local shop for this purpose..your mic got too much characteristics at all, you need a flat responce..

then a software like this

http://shop.digitalaudioservice.com//product_info.php/cPath/73_69_334/products_id/7155

and you need a monitor that is really flat as well to do the sine sweeps on, or the noise..whatever..

like this:
http://shop.digitalaudioservice.com//product_info.php/products_id/4289

i know its way to expensive to buy all these stuff but if you want it accurate in a professional way, this would be the way..

many small companies do measure rooms and most of the time its not too expensive and if the shop is a pro audio shop they can provide equipment like this..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

Thats not what I was taught. When measuring a room you need an omnidirectional mic. Mine is omni, bi-polar, and cardioid. I can switch it to whatever i want.

While it is true that you need a flat frequency response from your mic, it is also true that you need an omni cardioid mic in order to really check things out. I checked the frequency response chart for your mic and also for
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/359562-REG/Earthworks_M50_M50_Measurment_Microphone.html
which is Omni directional as it should be and while your mic has a pretty but not quite flat frequency response, Zorks choice is way better. You could use your mic but it won't be as precise, not with that curve in the bass region anyway. I would definitely go for Marks choice.

I wonder if one could rent this software too somehow? Looks pretty cool!
