i think its time for me to abuse Phase Mistress...and come up with sum interesting strange chains along side of her for acidLine..im inspired yeh it wont probly wont sound as analog but im sure with sum tweaks it can be liquidized in a safe stereo image!!!

One thing I do to check on the general quality of pedals I buy, is put a signal through and cranck the input gain. The 103 oozes quality. All 3 moogerfoogers have different overdrive characteristics. Quite expensive but good thing not a lot of people have discovered them in psy trance. So I can abuse the shit outta them before others start picking them up as well. nice one man.
the Shruthi1 sound very stable , it turn me off a bit. i have a bit same problem with my fr Xs .. and i think lot of newer modern analog are like that too maybe cause the circuits are new and dont have years of use ,not old enought
i often have do trick like on a plugin , like modulating slighty the pitch to drift , adding noise ect to get less clean stable sound and i find it quite funny cause the synth is all analog.. as soon i turn the resonance i m sure it is though.. or sometimes with fast mpodulation, fm ,ring..

I was experimenting alien303 (v.1.2) vsti today when i was finishing one project and this game out:
Just mono saw from alien303, but spiced up some cleansweep (cutting lows), metaflanger (for phaser), formantfilter (for fshifting) and few ohmboys (for delay/flanger) on insert, plus some reverb on send.
On master i had some mastering stuff left from that project, which was the days main project
Was a bit suprised about that vst performing now like that, because last time i tried it for bass and didn't like that skinny sound so much. Maybe acid works better..

interesting observation, I kind of know what you mean since I've fiddled around with an ancient SH-101, there's definitely some weird stuff that old gear does.
Shruthi is a bit sterile yes, even detuning it still sounds sterile. It's good for melodies because of that. And I spent hours step tuning the filter after the build so it's pretty much on key. Just need to work with it bit more to create a good acid patch

like it , sound good, dont really use the logic amp and pedals.. do you have some to recomend? or you just try and see what work?

Well that track was made in Logic 8, so the only available amp emulator was the native Guitar Amp Pro.
Haven't checked the combos on Logic 9. Just use the hardware now.

tried recreating sum of those cocaine acid sounds u got on vangaurd but by using ABL2 and waves guitar amp...phase mistress at the start of the chain using the 7x5 headspin preset..sound ok over there???
