Acid was the best trance club in Europe back then...the problem was that it was way ahead beyond its own time...
I don't think there has been any trance club in the world printing a full booklet-flyer informing people for parties (friday + saturday) for a whole month in advance !!!!
Quality bookings were also made because the people behind the club knew about music and cared about good music and not just money and profits...they had no hesitation to bring new promising artists + djs or artists (risk) from far-away places like Japan (costly)

Yeah, believe it or not I still have those booklets kept in my drawers and sometimes I look at them and call back in my mind all those events.....aaahhhh....  |

acid was great,
all bookings was great,
every week 2 or 3 new dj's from all over the world blusting the place,
maybe not very good memorys because the drugs marked the place but nobody forgot this great club,
we are the children that our parents told us to don't make company with. |

I have never been there as I come from Athens. But in '97 it was like a legend to me(had heard about it). Something similar to Alsos in Athens, perhaps even better. Paok and all that, acid, sounded e-xotic. |

I used to play there quite often. A truely unique place and great people The only bad thing was that we had to play with our back to the people. Not a good idea LOL. What happened to Sakis at the new Acid club was a disgrace that prove to me that some Greeks will use very ugly ways to compete eachother out of the party scene in Greece. It's good to know that Sakis now is a free man again. He never deserved what happened to him. |
