I think this thread might get moved somewhere else, but hey, i'm looking for some suggestions for non-psytrance music for a party where most guests will be on hallucinogens..
I was thinking about weird jazzy stuff and trippy electronic experimental music,, but also dancy and DJable..
These where some suggestions i liked from another forum ::
STS9
lotus
Steve Kimock Band
i want to explore some alternatives to psytrance

Dub Techno is pretty awesome on psychedelics, as is Cuban music, melodic but not to heavy IDM like Boards of Canada (Campfire Headphase is just fantastic, Jazz, regular non-psy dub.

unfortunately i can only sample 10 seconds on itunes before i buy..
Campfire Headphase is way chill, very enjoyable. i'll get it for private listening
Some cool tracks on Hidria Spacefolk.
im buying Rip Van Hippy, its AWESOME for psyparty imo.
thx guys,,
any more 'less well known' weird music i can check out.

on my search for interesting music i've discovered some cool bands like;
new orleans klezmer all stars.
songs like 'cujan accordian',, do yourself a favor and listen
